The Disappointing Experience with Al Fahad Tours & Travels

Al Fahad Tours & Travels — REFUND OF PAYMENT I had applied to an advertisement that appeared in Malayala Manorama on December 1, . Thereafter I received a call from Cochin asking me to appear for an interview on December 6, 2010 at Cochin, which I did and during the discussions the preson Mr. Rafi asked me to deposit Rs.10000/- as a security against getting VISA. I offered him Rs.5000/- and he accepted the same. Thereafter I received a call on December 18 asking me to obtain Police Clearance Certificate endorsement on my passport and handed over the VISA to me I was also asked to pay Rs.115000/- But did pay Rs.90000/-. Then I visited Ahmedabad and December 21, 2010 approached the PCC and the passport office, but was refused asking me to furnish a letter from the embassy. Which I related to Mr. Rafi by email the same day duly scanning the PCC. He told me nothing to worry and thereafter I returned to Cochin on January 1 . When approached I was told that the . Then on January 22 I got a call asking me to report to the office as my air tickets were ready. When I wnet there I was told that I should not have come but the next day. But after discussing the matter they did tell me about the procedure of landing in Dubai, who the contact person would be and then I was given 1000 USD, and Rs.15000/- would be deposited into my account by cash. I collected my tickets. I was told to handover the 1000USD to the contact person. But in Dubai I was asked to submit Rs.30000/- also, which I withdrew from my account from an ATM and paid the person. Three days later an interview was scheduled and thereupon after 3 more days, we were asked to do the Medical check up. But as the medical check up was not through, I was rejected and asked to return. The agent in Dubai returned to me Rs.45000/- but retained Rs.30000/- towards living expenss etc. and was told that Mr. Rafi would reimburse to me the balance Rs.45000/- out of the agreed Rs.1.2 lakh.
