    The Disappointment of a Misrepresented Hotel Experience with Fab Hotels

    Fab Hotels are FraudstersI booked 2 rooms from 31/12/23 till 03/01/24 in Fab Hotels Greenland Classic Bhubaneswar through booking.com for my family. I made an advance payment of 3074/- to get my booking confirmed. Total amount was 8232.84 for 2 rooms for 3 nights. However during checkin on 31/12/23 we found that the hotel was entirely different from what was shown in the pics posted on booking.com. Hotel was under construction, lift wasn’t working and also hotel did not have any kitchen/restaurant as mentioned in the hotel’s description on the site. Rooms were too small, dark and shady which were not at all meant for family stay. Rooms pics were totally opposite of what was shown on booking.com site. We were quite disappointed and asked the receptionist to connect us with property owner to raise our concern, rather we were asked to call the customer service. I cancelled my booking and tried calling the owner which was actually Fab Hotels number. That number was never connected and so i spoke with booking.com and they too denied to help mentioning that property owner has to refund the advance payment.Fab hotels are fraudsters as after filing complain into consumer forum I found indefinite complains from various customers so a strict action should be taken against them.

    Unbelievably Horrible

    Soooooooo unbelievably horrible!! DONT USE ITSoooooooo unbelievably horrible!!! I was trying to make a purchase on Mercari and I got redirected to their website on accident that it was still the Mercari site I put in my credit card information and then I got charged three dollars and apparently now I’m going to be bills $16 a month when you try to cancel on their website you click through a bunch of things ask you to call them but when I tried to call them, they were closed absolutely ridiculous. Hoping I can cancel whenever their business center is open.please try to avoid this website at all cost. Trust me it will just be a headache.

    Unsatisfactory Experience

    I made a reservation through my daughter’s agency on September 1st for September 27th- I received notice that rates had dropped but the hotel would not honor the new rate at check-in even though they have a strict cancellation policy on the other end. They also gave us a hard time when requesting another cup of coffee at breakfast! Very short-sighted and I would not recommend

    Underwhelmed and Unimpressed

    First trip back to Mata Rocks since the pandemic…sadly dsappointed!! Stayed 10 years here with the previous owners, knew all the staff by name and they never missed a beat! The current staff may be simply under resourced by the current owners. Bath towels with holes and burn marks, not a hand towel in sight, ants in our bathroom and medications. The cosmetic “improvements” under the new management did not address real issues and in the case of the balcony areas created a hazard with rope railing instead of the private stucco wall railing they replaced. Kudos to the one maintenance staffer who remained from the old staff. He kept the doors and blinds working!

    Beware of False Reviews

    GoAbroad get affiliate kickbacks and…GoAbroad get affiliate kickbacks and they don’t publish bad reviews. I wanted to do a TEFL online course and ITT TEFL and TESOL was a recommended program on GoAbroad. the program has over 600 reviews with all of them writing the program is excellent. I went ahead and paid for the Level 5 course. It was just a few videos and a lot of odt documents that had to be sent to the owner. When I complained to ITT TEFL and TESOL I didn’t receive the product and service I’d purchased, I was kicked off the course without any explanation. I contacted my bank and they got my money back for me. Now I’m reading that ITT International TEFL and TESOL are not properly accredited and GoAbroad know about it but still have the program listed. This is a straight-up scam. Avoid ITT International TEFL and TESOL and don’t believe the reviews on GoAbroad.

    Goabroad.com reviews cannot be trustedI posted a review on how I was cheated by SEE TEFL, Chiang Mai, Thailand on Goabroad.com. I gave them all the evidence they needed and have more to give them about the well-planned scam. Initially, they published my review for a few weeks and then took it down and are now promoting a fraudulent TEFL school like SEE TEFL, Chiang Mai, Thailand online as ‘One of the 6 best places to do your TEFL course in Thailand’.

    Very bad experience. Owner is typical Safashiv Pethi guy. Owns Huge property and Doing the travel agent business as time pass. Practical guy – will not hesitate to leave you in the middle of nowhere for money – which he did with us! Totally unethical.overcharged by 5x – put us up in the filthiest of hotels. Bad food. Bad manners and foul language. If you want to get insulated, waste your money – hire this agency. False promises and changing stance is characteristic.

    If you are going for your with Swati Holidays please read this. We just had gone on small tour of 5 days from 16/10/21 To 21/10/21 to Pithapuram and Kuravpuram by Swati Holidays. We were group of 11 including 3 small kids. The so called owner and organizer Mr. Sandip Gadgil is the most unreliable and liar.1. From the beginning to end of the trip he never provided tea coffee or breakfast or even water bottles unless you remind him of it.2. He Didn’t brief us about the next day tour in advance.In fact he was asking us the details of those places. When we had visited one of the temple Kunti Madhav at Pithapuram And I asked him about details of the temple he said he doesn’t know and he is not interested to brief any tourist as he is not finding it necessary to do so. Hence I asked other people over there about it so they told me about the temple. Later on this Gadgil asked what information you got tell me I am visiting first time here, I don’t know about this place. Frankly, I really don’t mind sharing details with others but then it’s ridiculous when your tour organiser ask you these things when he claims that he has visited this place 50 times. Leave it 50 times but even when you visit such places even once you collect all the information when it comes to business.3. He never made any arrangements himself for milk of small kids unless we asked him.4. Before tour he said he visited Kuravpur and Pithapur 50 times. But when we reached Kachiguda in Hyderabad for heading towards Kuravpur.. He said I am coming here first time so I don’t know anything about waiting room arrangements.5. The most important thing is When we reached Kuravpur And next day morning our group got ready to visit temple and this man didn’t come and even didn’t respond our calls. Later on he called and told us you go on your own. And told us I can’t come I am sleeping. I had never been such a irresponsible organiser till the date.6. Maximum times he was expecting us to have free food of Prasadam. But then we told him that once it’s okay to have prasadam for lunch or dinner at Kuravpur and Pithapuram but we have paid for food as well so make it available. Then this man used to take us out for meal.Mr. Sandip Gadgil is not at all trustworthy person. If you are going with family and taking aged people or small kids along with you then you have to take care of everything. He has no manners of talking with ladies at all. He doesn’t have time to look after his customers as maximum time he spends on mobile.If you want you can go by any other tour agency but not with this SWATI HOLIDAYS and SANDIP GADGIL.

    An Endless Nightmare

    This review is 2 years in the making. Overall, working with Kiki was the WORST PART OF MY ENTIRE WEDDING PLANNING – even worse than having to postpone my wedding due to the pandemic!!!I was referred to Kiki Dimakis of Marlin Travel and ‘Destination Weddings and Romance by Kiki’ because my friends booked with her for their destination wedding in Nov 2019. I signed my contract with Kiki in Oct 2019 for my destination wedding in Cancun originally for Nov 2020 (we eventually had to postpone to Nov 2021). When we went to my friends’ wedding, literally 5 of the other guests warned me not to book with her for my wedding because they felt that she was very rude, not knowledgeable or helpful. Unfortunately, it was too late. I will list all of my horrible experiences with Kiki over the past 2 years.1. I gave her a list of what I was looking for to choose a wedding resort, but everything she sent me was not even close to what I wanted.2. Word spread very quickly about Kiki from my friends’ wedding so the majority of our Canadian guests chose to book on their own so that they didn’t have to deal with her (and they all found a better rate anyway). This really screwed us over because if we didn’t hit the minimum of at least 10 rooms booked as stated in our contract then we wouldn’t get any perks and might’ve had to pay even more.3. Kiki messaged me that one of my best friends and bridesmaids backed out of her booking and she “didn’t know why.” I asked my friend what happened and was shocked when she sent me screenshots of her conversation with Kiki. Kiki was so rude to her and made her feel stupid for asking questions about the travel insurance. Instead of clarifying the information, Kiki just kept saying it was clearly stated in the contract. Well, not everyone understands the tricky wording that contracts sometimes have so why is it so hard for you to explain it to your client! After that, I told Kiki that my friend backed out because she was rude to her and Kiki tried to apologize to her, but it was too late. I’ve attached the screenshots.4. In the summer of 2020 we decided to postpone a whole year since we weren’t allowed to travel. In Nov 2020, Kiki emailed us stating that she was charging us a $200 fee to rebook everyone. Everyone who was booking with her paid their deposits by March 2020 so she was essentially holding all of these deposits hostage, giving us no choice but to pay the fee that was never mentioned in our contract otherwise everyone would lose their deposits! I know $200 doesn’t sound like a lot of money, but we were very upset that she was the only vendor that was charging us due to postponing because of a pandemic that we had no control over! Like isn’t it the travel agent’s job to rebook everyone if something out of their control like a pandemic happens?! Why should we get charged for this especially if it was not mentioned in the contract? That made us feel like she could randomly charge fees whenever she felt like it. We calmly explained to her why we were upset over this fee and we went back and forth for 6 MONTHS! She didn’t try to understand where we were coming from at all and didn’t care that we were unhappy. She pushed us over to her mother, Lisa Dimakis, owner of Marlin Travel. Lisa, of course, just backed Kiki up and they wouldn’t budge on the fee. They said if we didn’t pay it then they would put it onto our guests to pay or everyone will lose their deposits. So we had no choice but to pay.5. On the booking deadline, she tried to sway my brother-in-law to book a flight and hotel package OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTRACT with her directly! He would’ve been the 10th booking that we needed. Then she told us since we won’t hit the 10 room minimum we should book our flight and hotel package with her directly as well… trying to persuade us to book outside of our own contract! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!6. In new contract she wrote that the $50 per room fee would be in addition to the total room amount when originally she stated that it was included. I brought this to her attention and she said “oops it was a mistake” and that she got us mixed up with another “U.S. group.” If I didn’t catch it and bring it up she would have pocketed an additional $500 from our group!7. When checking in to the resort, one of my friends’ name and booking could not be found in the system!8. I told all of my guests to call the shuttle company to confirm their rides to and from resort because I knew Kiki would not do it and I didn’t want anyone to get stuck without a shuttle.9. We were told to “pay first and get reimbursed later” for a complimentary room, but we only received a small fraction of the money back.10. Kiki gives endless excuses for not doing her job well.11. She kept getting my friends mixed up and said to one of them “Can you just resend it to me? There’s so much back and forth especially from this group.” HOW RUDE!My biggest advice is just to book on your own. Avoid the headache of dealing with Kiki!

    DO NOT BOOK WITH Kiki Dimakis!!!!!Two weddings one in Jamaica in 2019 and Mexico in 2021. The couple who had their wedding in Jamaica did like working with her, **BUT** majority of their guests were very VERY unhappy with Kiki, and did NOT book with Kiki for the second couple’s wedding in Mexico!The reason we decided not to book with Kiki was because she lied about including my husband in the group email, then blamed me because of our “many exchanges”. It’s her job to be able to answer any questions regarding the trip, otherwise why book for us in the first place and collect commission?We really should have compared rates the first time because we saved a good $500-700 NOT booking with Kiki for the second wedding in Mexico!

    4 or 5 years before it was a computer center and tie up with government educational schemes. Then, While studying our college, me and friend applied for a free 3 months computer hardware course on this center. It was a government sponsored scheme along with stipend for poor and villages students. After we applied for the course (they collect all of our important xerox copies) then, they told you will receive call from us. No phone call came. After 3months we received a msg you have successfully completed your 3months computer course we shocked. How this is possible? Later that, they call us & told to receive stipend you need to tell OTP you received from government website. We tell the OTP because of money (that’s our mistake). After we tell the OTP no response. So, One thing I tell you guys these guys are #1 Scammers  BE AWARE OF THIS

    Poor serviceas I entered the premises of the Hotel no one is come for luggage. And I also ask for morning breakfast schedule time and request for giving breakfast parcel though I had booked the room with breakfast. and later we realised that the breakfast time schedule is too late for me for my next journey.
